Our Commitment
At CollectU, our mission is to preserve and celebrate the stories of iconic venues, teams, and institutions while conducting business responsibly and ethically. We are committed to protecting the rights, dignity, health, and safety of all workers involved in the production, refurbishment, transportation, storage, decoration, and distribution of our products.
We expect all suppliers, manufacturers, decorators, contractors, logistics providers, and business partners to comply with this Code of Conduct and to uphold the same standards throughout their operations and supply chains.
1. Employment Relationship
CollectU and its suppliers shall maintain lawful employment practices and comply with all applicable labor laws and regulations. Workers shall be employed under legally recognized employment relationships and receive all rights and protections provided by law.
2. Nondiscrimination
Employment decisions including hiring, compensation, promotion, discipline, termination, and retirement shall be based on an individual's qualifications and ability to perform the job.
Discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, national origin, marital status, veteran status, political opinion, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited.
3. Harassment and Abuse
Workers shall be treated with dignity and respect.
Suppliers shall not engage in or tolerate physical abuse, threats, corporal punishment, sexual harassment, verbal abuse, intimidation, coercion, or any form of workplace harassment.
4. Forced Labor
CollectU prohibits all forms of forced, bonded, prison, trafficked, or involuntary labor.
Workers shall not be required to surrender identity documents, pay recruitment fees, or be subject to restrictions on freedom of movement. Employment shall be voluntary, and workers shall be free to leave employment upon reasonable notice.
5. Child Labor
Suppliers shall not employ workers below the legal minimum working age or below the age established by applicable international labor standards, whichever is higher.
Young workers shall not perform hazardous work or duties that may interfere with their education, health, or development.
6. Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
Workers shall have the right to freely associate, organize, join unions, and engage in collective bargaining consistent with local law.
Where local laws restrict these rights, suppliers shall support alternative lawful means for workers to communicate concerns and participate in workplace dialogue.
7. Health and Safety
Suppliers shall provide a safe and healthy work environment.
This includes:
- Compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
- Proper training and use of equipment.
- Emergency preparedness procedures.
- Safe storage and handling of materials.
- Access to clean drinking water and sanitary facilities.
- Procedures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- CollectU expects all partners to actively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
8. Hours of Work
- Working hours shall comply with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Regular and overtime hours shall be managed responsibly to protect worker health and safety. Overtime shall be voluntary whenever possible and compensated according to applicable laws.
- Workers shall receive at least one day off during every seven-day period except in extraordinary circumstances.
9. Compensation and Benefits
- Workers shall receive wages and benefits that meet or exceed applicable legal requirements.
- Compensation shall be paid accurately, on time, and in a transparent manner. Suppliers shall provide workers with understandable wage statements and all legally required benefits.
- Unauthorized deductions from wages are prohibited.
10. Environmental Responsibility
CollectU is committed to sustainability and responsible reuse of materials.
Suppliers shall comply with all environmental laws and regulations and strive to minimize waste, pollution, and environmental impact through responsible business practices.
11. Business Integrity and Ethics
CollectU expects all business partners to operate honestly and ethically.
Suppliers shall:
- Prohibit bribery, corruption, kickbacks, and fraud.
- Maintain accurate business records.
- Comply with applicable trade, customs, and regulatory requirements.
- Avoid conflicts of interest that may impair business judgment.
12. Supplier Transparency
Suppliers shall provide accurate information regarding manufacturing locations, subcontractors, and production processes upon request.
CollectU reserves the right to evaluate supplier compliance with this Code and may request supporting documentation, certifications, or corrective action plans when necessary.
13. Compliance and Corrective Action
Suppliers are expected to promptly address any violations of this Code.
Failure to demonstrate compliance, refusal to cooperate with corrective actions, or repeated violations may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship.
14. Continuous Improvement
CollectU recognizes that responsible sourcing requires ongoing effort.
We are committed to continuous improvement of our supply chain practices and expect our suppliers to actively work toward improving labor, safety, environmental, and ethical performance.
Supplier Acknowledgement
By accepting a purchase order, contract, or business relationship with CollectU, the supplier acknowledges that it has reviewed this Code of Conduct and agrees to operate in accordance with its principles and requirements.
